Bellavida Villa Orlando

Bellavida Internet Speed

Since the resort went ‘digital’ we upgraded to the faster 15mbps service,  but until now we could only listen to guest reports of how fast it actually was.

Well we now have a speedtest report for the connection in the villa,  and the answer is fast!

Im quite used to having a ’20 mbps’ service at home in the UK,  which actually ends up at around 6 mbps,  so its nice to see here in the villa the 15mbps advertised speed actually means just about that!

Disney, Fox and James Cameron to bring AVATAR to life at Disney Parks

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Worldwide is joining forces with visionary filmmaker James Cameron and Fox Filmed Entertainment to bring the world of AVATAR to life at Disney parks. Through an exclusive agreement announced today by Disney, Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment and Fox, Disney will partner with Cameron and producing partner Jon Landau to create themed lands that will give theme park guests the opportunity to explore the mysterious universe of AVATAR first hand. Disney plans to build the first AVATAR themed land at Walt Disney World, within the Animal Kingdom park. With its emphasis on living in harmony with nature, Animal Kingdom is a natural fit for the AVATAR stories, which share the same philosophy.

New bowling alley coming to Downtown Disney!

Downtown Disney is to get a new bowling alley!

Disney have said the construction of the new 50,000 sq ft Splitsville (link) centre, bowling, billiards, dining, music and nightlife, will start in the autumn.

The new centre will be located on the ‘West Side’ where the Virgin Megastore used to be, close to the cinema.

So, how long before I can book a lane :)

Our new Bellavida villa website!

Regular visitors may notice we have updated our website! There was very little wrong with the only site, however the blog entries were made with a separate program to the main website, and when we were at the villa in October we could not update the blog while we were away.

It took a while but…

It may have taken a while, but it has been worth it – our home is complete!

We go out in a couple of weeks to put the finishing touches to it internally, and we are getting photos taken professionally while we are over, but here is the current planted villa!

We think it looks great, worth every penny, and the countless hours we have spent getting to this stage.

Thanks for following our construction blog, we hope you found it interesting, and maybe if you are going to Orlando, you will consider our home for your vacation (if it is available!!!).

Thanks again for reading.

Working on the website

OK, so it may be a little premature, but it takes so long to get a listing in the search engines these days, and so many people are asking us for pictures of the house I thought I would start work on the villa website.

It will just be a shell site for a while yet, with basic information and no pictures, but it should grow over time.

Obviously with no links to the site from other websites, it doesn’t stand much of a chance as far as most search engines go, and it won’t be of much use to anyone until the house is built (who wants to read about a house that isn’t built yet!), but it’s all good fun and it helps us get an idea of just what we want to put into the house.

The web site will be at http://www.eeyores-escape.com/ as we quite like that name for the villa, we will see how it grows on us, or not as the case may be and maybe change it later, but for now, Eeyores Escape it is.

Ill spend more time on the site over the coming year, plenty of time to fiddle round and mess it up!
